I cracked a tooth over the weekend. In the past I've had root canals, cavities filled, new crowns and even two apicoectomies. Being the self professed "dental queen" you would think that a trip to the dentist would be no big deal. Besides the normal anxiety that a person feels about sitting in the dentist chair and the huge expense that sitting in the chair always turns out to be I am also feeling new dentist anxiety.
My family went the the same dentist for 20 years. We were very happy with Dr Romer. He was a nice guy and always felt bad whenever he had to send me to the endodontist for a root canal or whatever. To top it off he was also a Gator (Go Gators). Now that's a reason to love a dentist. LOL We were all very comfortable with Dr Romer so dental issues were not as scary as they could have been. Then a few months ago he did the unthinkable. He retired and sold his practice to a just out of dental school gal who didn't give two squats about her new patients. Both Kerry and and Pat had bad exeriences with her so it was time to find a new dentist.
We asked our Endo guy, Dr Flax who I totally love and he suggested this new guy Dr Spector. Pat went to him and liked him a lot. It is now my turn and I am totally anxiety ridden. The expense alone is enough to send me into the refrigerator and I must admit that I have already allowed this to get to me. I'm back into the 150's. As my fellow Fabbie Laura would say oy vey.

hope your appointment goes well today..sending you good vibes
Your fellow fab Laura would say you'll get back to the 140s again. She would also say that she hopes that your new dentist is younger than you.
She knows that it's a good thing to have doctors and dentists in their early 40s. That way, they've been around enough to be really experienced and they're younger than her by enough years that she doesn't have to worry about another round of doctors retiring.
Your friend Laura would also say that she misses you and if she didn't have a fever (now up to 102.5), she'd call you on the spot.
